We at Aariketh, focus on women, children, persons with disabilities, marginalized and deprived grass root communities to help alleviate poverty by enabling people and making them self resilient.
Where We Work
The recent pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on the direct livelihood of the people all over the world and it still continues to pose a big risk for the future. This has even more severely affected those who were already vulnerable and from marginalized communities. There is a great need to support and uplift those communities and develop self resilient skills.
Nepal remains one of the poorest countries in South Asia with 25.2 % percent of the population below the poverty line (ADB,2010).
COVID-19 related disruptions have affected livelihoods and resulted in the decline in the economic condition of the country. It has been found that this has affected the poor, and the vulnerable disproportionately, with an expectation that poverty is very likely to increase even more. Additionally, the lack of adequate national budgets to support fundamental needs such as good health and better coverage has resulted in a greater need for non governmental/non profit organizations to step in.
Aariketh strives to serve as the support unit to help these unreached and underserved communities to become self resilient and reliant with the goal to “Strengthen the potential of the vulnerable for poverty reduction thus, contributing towards a sustainable society”.

Natural disasters endanger more than 80% of Nepalese. It poses a significant threat, particularly to those who are already vulnerable and struggling to make a living. We intend to raise disaster preparedness, emergency response awareness and provide the necessary support.
Nepal faces huge gaps in access to quality health services and infrastructure as well as lack of awareness regarding disease prevention, hygiene and nutrition. We aim to promote awareness as well as provide basic medical services at low to free cost for those who cannot afford and access those services.
